Unless I’m on vacation, I rarely carry a camera other than my iPhone. Our personal camera does a decent job, but it would simply take up too much room in my bag when I’m on the road for business. I wonder if any readers have a suggestion for a good camera that is small enough for decent pictures, but easily fits in a briefcase or backpack with all my other goodies?

Marshall –
I do camera education for a number of manufacturers and retailers and see all the new cameras that come out – I’d second the recommendation of the Canon S95 (probably the best point and shoot camera out there, quality-wise) and I’d also strongly recommend the Sony NEX-3 or NEX-5.
That camera is only a little bigger than a point and shoot, but has the same size/quality image sensor of a digital SLR, and has interchangeable lenses available.
Either of those will give you fantastic quality images that are worthy of your great blog. 🙂
I always bring my Canon s90 (latest rev is s95). It’s a point and shoot that supports manual mode along with RAW, and it has a fast lens (f/2.0) that’s great for indoor/night.
Most cheap point and shoots will do much better than a cell phone camera.
I carry a Nikon 1000pj if there is the possibility of me doing anything but spending the entire time in the office.
If not, just my BB & iPhone … If I’m definitely going to go out and shoot then I’ll take the D70.
