Frequent readers of the blog may have noticed that I’m a strong advocate of accumulating transferable points currencies. One of the favorite features that we all love about flexible points currencies is that every now and then, issuers offer transfer bonuses. Chase is now out with a brand new transfer bonus when you transfer Chase points to Air Canada Aeroplan. With this limited time points transfer bonus, you can earn up to 35% extra Aeroplan points when you transfer your Chase Ultimate Rewards points.
Chase Points Transfer Bonus: Up to 35%

Unlike some of the other points transfer bonuses that Chase is currently running, this bonus is tiered. The standard transfer ratio from Chase to Aeroplan is 1:1. This transfer bonus is valid until January 5, 2026.
This bonus is tiered as follows:
- Receive 15% bonus Aeroplan points when you transfer up to 74,000 Chase points
- Receive 20% bonus Aeroplan points when you transfer between 75,000 – 174,000 Chase points
- Transfer 175,000 Chase points or more and earn 25% bonus Aeroplan points
- If you hold the Chase Aeroplan Card, then you get an additional 10% bonus
In essence, as a Chase Aeroplan cardholder, when you transfer your points to Aeroplan, you’ll earn a 35% bonus when you transfer 175,000 points or more.
Chase Aeroplan Cardmembers can get up to 35% bonus Aeroplan points (up to 25% from the limited time offer and an extra 10% for being a Cardmember). To get the additional 10% bonus, Chase Aeroplan Cardmembers need to transfer a minimum of 50,000 points from Chase Ultimate Rewards® to Aeroplan (and transfer a minimum of 175,000 points to receive the limited time 25% bonus). The maximum bonus points you can receive from the Chase Aeroplan Cardmember bonus is 25,000 points per calendar year. Bonus Aeroplan points will be awarded by Aeroplan in your Aeroplan account after your transfer is complete. Promotional offer terms and conditions apply.
Other Transfer Bonuses
Chase is also running two other transfer bonuses with Marriott Bonvoy and Virgin Atlantic Flying Club.

The Pundit’s Mantra
Overall, these transfer bonuses present great opportunities to save a lot of miles and points as you look to book your next trip. However, I’d sound a word of caution here. I don’t recommend that you transfer points during these bonuses if you don’t have a specific use coming up.
Airline miles and hotels points frequently devalue, so if you transfer your points in advance without any immediate use in the near future, you may end up holding a currency which has less value than the time when you initially transferred points.
Over the years, points transfer bonuses have fueled many of my trips, helping me save miles and points on itineraries I was looking to book anyway.
