My climb up the Delta status ladder continues as I recently attained Platinum Medallion status. I’ve been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Platinum Medallion welcome kit, which arrived a little over 3 weeks after I hit Platinum. The verdict – with the exception of including two Job Well Done certificates, it’s exactly the same as the Gold Medallion packet. Without further adieu, the Delta SkyMiles Platinum Medallion Welcome Kit.
Actually, I guess the drink chits are the real reason for opening the envelope. I digress. 🙂

Thats odd, I did not receive my welcome packet when I re qualified this year. Upon asking they said they are waiting until the end of the year to send it in case I achieve DM in the mean time. Maybe I will try asking again.

What’s the benefits of the luggage tag?
None that I’m aware of, other than if they are patrolling access to the elite line at the ticket counter, I’ve been thanked for being a Medallion when they see the tag. They used to be barcoded.
