As you may remember, I passed the 50,000 MQM threshold about 3 weeks ago and returned to Gold Medallion status. Thank goodness! I’ve been eagerly awaiting the arrival of my welcome packet. I’ve already benefited from my Gold status, but having the card in hand is always best. The contents of the package appear to be about the same as the were last time I received one. Of course, there’s the membership card and two luggage tags. Delta does not ship straps or ties to actually affix your tags to your luggage, but I understand they do have a supply of these at the Sky Club. Just stop by and ask. Most importantly, four drink chits are included! 🙂 OK, they can be used for a snack too. One change, the drink chits are printed on some fancier feeling paper.
Without further adieu, meet the Delta SkyMiles Gold Medallion welcome package.
And there you have it folks – The Delta SkyMiles Gold Medallion welcome packet. Stay tuned…. Platinum Medallion is in MJ’s future.

Hi MJ I recently travelled as a silver member but raked in 18K miles during the trip reaching Gold, on coming home I receive another welcome package extending my silver status to 2/2015 should I request for my Gold package or should just and wait for them to send it I would will to rip the benefits of Gold tags and card.
Give it 4 to 6 weeks. It will likely show on its own.
How many drink tickets do you get for Platnium?
I will soon find out for certain, but I believe it will be just four based upon DeltaPoints’ experience with his Diamond packet.
Ya might want to black out your FF number in the letter!
Thought I had. Should have viewed the post to make sure. Thanks for the heads up.
It never is enough, is it TWF?
Your gold! That means you get to wait behind me in the upgrade line as a Platinum…and I get to wait behind Rene and Rapid Travel Chai as Diamonds…It’s never enough 🙂
The 1%ers get richer and seemingly more obnoxious!
That’s us JLOMF.
