No More SkyMiles for My Dry Cleaning

I’ve mentioned Thanks Again Rewards from time to time. Primarily, they were a source of a handful of miles for my dry cleaning. Many airports, including Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson participate in Thanks Again too. They’re a way to earn a few miles for your preflight dining, parking, and even your Uber ride (if you spend a lot). Last night I received an email from Thanks Again informing that they would no longer be offering Delta SkyMiles.

thanks again, thanks again rewards, skymiles, delta skymiles

Dear Thanks Again Member,

You may be aware that the Delta Air Lines® has announced significant changes to the SkyMiles® program. One of the changes affects Thanks Again members directly. Delta has chosen to reduce the number of “earn” partners. This means that Thanks Again will no longer be able to purchase SkyMiles. This decision impacts many other companies – not just Thanks Again. You can change your reward selection to one of our other reward partners. Simply email us at customer.service@thanksagain. com with your reward program choice and your member number for that program, and we will make the change for you.

The choices include:

AeroMexico® Club Premier®
Alaska MileagePlan™
American AAdvantage®
Frontier EarlyReturns®
Hilton HHonors®
JetBlue TrueBlue®
Thanks Again Points™
Southwest Rapid Rewards®
United MileagePlus®
VOILÀ Hotel Rewards®

If you do not e-mail us with your choice by 1/1/15, we will automatically switch you to Thanks Again Points.

Thanks Again Points members typically earn 2 points per dollar spent (at participating merchants). Once a Thanks Again Points member reaches 1,000 points, we will send the member a reloadable $10 Visa® Prepaid Card via U.S. mail. Each time a Thanks Again Points member earns an additional 1,000 points thereafter, we will add $10 of value onto the Visa® Prepaid Card. The Visa® Prepaid Card can be used at participating Thanks Again merchant locations or anywhere Visa is accepted. Additional points redemption options will be introduced during 2015. Also, when Thanks Again Points members spend more than $1,000 in a calendar quarter, we will add a special bonus of $100 of value to the Visa Prepaid Card (members can earn the $100 bonus only once per quarter).

We very much appreciate your membership in Thanks Again and look forward to hearing from you about your reward choice.

Sincerely,

Thanks Again Customer Service

While I never thought of Thanks Again as being all that big of a deal, it was an easy way to pick up a few miles for something you’re going to be doing any way. For the record, I’m switching to AAdvantage which is probably where I should have been crediting anyway. Have you been earning miles from Thanks Again?
