Starwood hotels is back! Well sort of. That and more as we round up some of the stories from the previous week.

Hotel Dive: Starwood Hotels development chief talks brand revival, growth opportunities

For those of us OGs, we still miss Starwood hotels. After Marriott acquired Starwood, we saw an integration of Starwood’s brands and the loyalty program over a period of time. However, now, it seems like the founder of Starwood hotels is all set to rebrand their existing SH hotels brand as Starwood hotels, ready for a relaunch.

Doctor of Credit: Chase Now Allows Self-Service Moving Credit Line From One Card to Another

Up until now, one had to call or send a secure message to Chase in order to get this done. Now, you can move credit limits by simply using the Chase app or the website. You can move credit limits from one personal card to another. You can also move credit limits from one business card to another business card.

View from the Wing: Southwest Airlines Likely To Start Transatlantic Flights—Eyes Iceland As Europe Gateway

As Southwest continues to expand, we could soon see them announce flights to Europe. Over the years, we’ve primarily been accustomed to seeing Southwest as a domestic career. The only international destinations they’ve served are Mexico and the Caribbean islands. With new flights to Europe, this could signal plans for a much wider global expansion, with flights to Iceland.

One Mile at a Time: Hilton Cancels Coachella Bookings, Demands More Money: Any Recourse?

This is really terrible. Just a few days back, I wrote about how Hilton did an unannounced devaluation at several popular properties. The DoubleTree by Hilton Palm Spring is playing sneaky games by cancelling bookings that customers had booked at cheaper rates. Customers are receiving emails with an excuse that the hotel can’t honor their booking due to an unexpected system issue.

Frequent Miler: Current point transfer bonuses for June 2025

Chase and American Express are running some fantastic new transfer bonuses to loyalty programs like British Airways Avios, Virgin Atlantic and more. One of my favorites is the 20% bonus to Air Canada Aeroplan. American Express is also targeting certain members with transfer bonuses to Hilton Honors. Some readers are receiving transfer bonuses of up to 30%. I was not targeted, but P2 has an offer for a 25% transfer bonus. The standard transfer ratio from Amex to Hilton Honors is 1:2. With this offer, the ratio gets bumped up to 1:2.5 for a limited period of time.

Multiple new welcome bonuses were launched last week, by both Amex and Chase. If you’re looking to add to your Marriott or Delta balances, then now is a great time to jump on to these offers.
