Review: American Admirals Club Boston Logan

Admirals Club Boston Logan

Background:

I visited the Admirals Club Boston Logan Airport as I was flying American Airlines in Flagship Business on a transcontinental route from Boston (BOS) to Los Angeles (LAX). Normally, I would be granted Flagship Lounge access on this premium transcontinental route, but since there is no flagship lounge at Boston Logan Airport, you get to access the Admirals Club instead. After a quick bite at the restaurant Stephanie’s with Priority Pass, I headed to the Admirals Club Boston Logan around 5:30pm on a Thursday.

Location:

The Admirals Club is located in Terminal B, past security next to gate B4. That was convenient for me as my flight was departing right next to the lounge from gate B5.

Hours of operation are daily from 4 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.

The Lounge:

During my Thursday evening visit the lounge was decently full. There were still places to find a seat, but they were a bit spread out. The lounge was pretty modern, having been renovated in 2019, and upkeep looked pretty good. Cleanliness was on point as well.

This Admirals Club is pretty spacious, and I ended up finding a seat in the main buffet area next to the full service bar in the back of the lounge.

For dinner options they had a Mandarin Sesame Chicken, Boston Clam Chowder and Chicken and Dumpling Soup.

They also had some trail mixes, cookies, fresh fruits and cold vegetables. They also had a guacamole cart that was set up but then it was shortly taken away after I got settled. And of course, they had a coffee machine as well as the Coca-Cola Freestyle Machine.

There is also a smaller buffet station near the entrance for drinks and little snacks.

The lounge also features shower room, a kids room and a conference room.

The Verdict:

While not as luxurious as a Flagship Lounge, I was pleasantly surprised by the Admirals Club Boston Logan. Ample seating and a decent food array for a domestic lounge make for a comfortable stop before a flight.

Agree – plenty of room and seating options.

They also have 2 showers which you can ask to use at the front desk. Good size with excellent water pressure. Nice facilities for in between connections or on return!
