Cathay Pacific Asia Miles is running a fantastic miles rebate offer, especially if you’ve been sitting on Asia Miles and eyeing a redemption to Australia, the US, Canada, or South Asia. However, you need to register before March 22nd, 2026 and the window is closing fast.

Cathay Pacific Asia Miles: Up to 15% Back

Here’s how it works. You can redeem a one-way flight award and get 10% of your miles back. Redeem a round-trip and that jumps to a 15% miles rebate. So if you’re burning 70,000 miles on a round-trip redemption, you’re getting 10,500 miles credited back into your account.  The travel window for this promotional offer runs from May 5 to June 30, 2026.

Qualifying Flights

Let’s have a look at the qualifying routes for this promotion.

  • US & Canada (New York, LA, San Francisco, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Seattle, Vancouver, Toronto): Economy only
  • South Asia (Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kathmandu, Colombo, Dhaka): All cabin classes
  • Australia (Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane): All cabin classes

So, if you were hoping to use this offer to finally splurge on Cathay Business Class to New York, then you’re out of luck. However, if you’re eyeing Business or even First Class to Mumbai or Sydney, this offer is wide open for you and that 15% rebate becomes considerably more valuable in premium cabins where the mile cost is much higher.

Multi-City Options

One detail buried in the redemption table that I think deserves more attention: multi-city trips are eligible. Specifically, your outbound destination and return departure point can be different. That opens up some genuinely creative routing possibilities. Think flying into Sydney and returning from Melbourne, for instance, without being penalized on the rebate. That’s a meaningful piece of flexibility that Cathay doesn’t always offer.

The Fine Print

To make use of this offer, you need to register and then book a qualifying flight. Here are the steps:

  1. Register before March 22, 2026, hit the registration link and log into your Cathay membership account
  2. Then redeem your flight award through the standard redemption portal
  3. The miles rebate will credit back after travel

Analysis

This is a great deal if you’re looking to fly premium cabins between Asia and Australia. For North American flyers, this deal is restricted to Economy flights only.

  • For South Asia and Australia redemptions, this is a strong offer. All cabins are eligible, the routes are competitive for Asia Miles redemptions to begin with, and getting 15% back on a round-trip Business Class redemption can save you a meaningful chunk of miles. If you were already planning a redemption to these regions, this is essentially a bonus that costs you nothing extra.
  • For US and Canada, the economy-only restriction limits the appeal. Cathay’s economy redemptions to these routes aren’t the most compelling value plays compared to business class sweet spots. That said, if economy is where you’re headed, a 15% rebate on a round-trip is still a solid sweetener.

The Pundit’s Mantra

Before you do anything else, you first need to register before March 22nd. Even if you haven’t fully decided on your itinerary yet, registering costs you nothing and keeps your options open. The travel window runs through end of June, so you have time to plan once you’ve secured your spot in the offer.

I already have a trip to Hong Kong planned in May and I’ll be flying Cathay Pacific Business Class. I booked the flights before Amex decreased their transfer ratio to Cathay Pacific Asia Miles by 20%.
