Do you know the oneworld Los Angeles lounge at LAX is open again?

The oneworld Los Angeles lounge is reported to have reopened, though on shorter hours than before. The alliance lounge database has not been updated to reflect this at the time of writing, but I’m sure it will be.

All the alliance airlines that serve LAX use this lounge in normal times. That includes American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Finnair, Iberia, Japan Airlines and Qatar Airways.

Oneworld Los Angeles Lounge

This particular lounge, while ostensibly an alliance lounge, is run by Australia’s Qantas. With that airline recently returning its Melbourne to Los Angeles service alongside the existing service from Sydney, the premium facility is now open again.

Executive Traveller reports it is currently open from 3pm to 8:45pm daily. I’m pleased about this, as I’ll be travelling through LAX in January and will get to give it a whirl.

The Qantas First Class lounge is not yet open at Los Angeles, and that is supposed to happen early in 2022. Let’s hope that is sooner rather than later, as I’ll be using that lounge instead if it’s available.

No doubt as travel continues to return to normal, the opening hours will be extended back to how they were previously. Either way, it’s good news for travellers in Los Angeles who can use this lounge and enjoy the benefits.

Overall Thoughts

With many facilities closed over the pandemic, it is great to see the oneworld Los Angeles lounge coming back online. Frequent flyers and first and business class passengers really appreciate having their travel experience return to normal too.

I’ll be curious to see how busy it is, what with services still not back to normal. Hopefully the word will get out anyway, so people know they are able to use arguably the best oneworld lounge at LAX once more.

When are you next flying through Los Angeles? Will you use this lounge? Thank you for reading and if you have any comments or questions, please leave them below.
