Last week, I wrote about how I was really excited about this brand new St. Regis hotel that’s about to open some time next year. Today, Hyatt has announced that they have opened a brand new Andaz property in Lisbon, Portugal. The Andaz brand already has a sizable presence in Europe, with properties in Prague, London, Amsterdam, Munich and Vienna.
Brand New Hyatt Hotel
Hyatt has officially announced the opening of the brand-new Andaz Lisbon, welcoming its first guests on March 11, 2026.If you’re looking to redeem points for unique properties in great cities, this one could be worth keeping an eye on, especially before the higher prices kick in post devaluation.
Here are a few things you need to know about the hotel:
- The hotel is fully operational and is welcoming guests already.
- The hotel is listed as a Category 6 hotel.
- I quickly looked up prices for a stay in April and found a standard room at 25,000 points per night and a suite at 40,000 points per night. However, that will soon change in May once the devaluation kicks in.
- The hotel has a total of 170 rooms and suites.
Hyatt’s press release outlines their full intent and goals towards the opening this new property in Lisbon.
Set within Lisbon’s historic Baixa neighborhood, Andaz Lisbon places guests at the center of the city’s cultural and architectural legacy. With views of the Praça do Comércio and Tagus River waterfront, the hotel is in close proximity to the vibrant cafés, charming boutiques, and dynamic nightlife the city is known for. Andaz Lisbon invites guests to experience the city through a locally attuned lens.
The hotel will also offer a slew of health and wellness options. However, the Spa is still not operational, yet.
Guests of Andaz Lisbon will have access to a fully equipped, state-of-the-art fitness center featuring high-performance Technogym equipment and ensuring a fulfilling wellness experience while traveling. Complementing the fitness offering, the hotel will soon introduce a spa with restorative amenities crafted to soothe, rebalance, and inspire renewal. Guests will also be able to enjoy a curated selection of in-room spa services, offering personalized relaxation and indulgence in the comfort and privacy of their own room.
The Pundit’s Mantra
It’s always great to see new hotel properties open up in different parts of the world. If you’re sitting on a decent stash of World of Hyatt points, then it would be prudent to lock in lower prices before the Hyatt points devaluation kicks in at some point in May.
