It has been a hectic week in the world of travel, with the Air Canada strike fiasco and an updated benefit of the Amex Platinum Card getting leaked before launch. That and more as we wrap up stories from the week gone by.

Amex Platinum Card benefit gets leaked (& why I like it!)

This hasn’t happened for the first time and won’t happened for the  last, but an updated Amex Platinum Card benefit got leaked accidentally. If you love this benefit, then like me, you’ll be happy that’s it’s actually becoming 3x times what it originally was. However, the annual fee on the Amex Platinum Card may also be increased to a whopping $895!

Talking about the Amex Platinum card, a Reddit poster recounts his horrible experience while trying to close a card via Amex’s chat function. The rep closed the card successfully, but it was the wrong card!
