Background

I did a property tour of the Raffles Boston during my last trip to the city, and it was nice to check out the first North American property for the Raffles brand.

Raffles Hotels & Resorts is a Singaporean chain of luxury hotels that is part of Accor. It traces its roots to 1887 with the opening of the original Raffles Hotel in Singapore. The Raffles Boston offers 147 guest rooms in a 35 mixed-use tower with residential units.

Room Tour

I toured a standard room and found it quite nice. All come with the signature Raffles Butler Service, Garnier Thiebault linens, and Guerlain bath products. I liked the modern luxury vibes, and those who like darker tones will love the room.

Amenities

Also, we visited the nice indoor pool, fitness center, and Guerlain Spa. I loved that the fitness center felt airy, and had Pelotons.

Dining

The Raffles Boston offers a solid lineup of restaurants. Amar is a Portuguese-inspired restaurant, with beautiful seating, while La Padrona serves traditional Italian dishes.

There is also the Long Bar & Terrace serving New England classics, and the Raffles Afternoon Tea, which I was happy to try. Plus, there is a hidden speakeasy called Blind Duck with crafted cocktails and small plates.

The Verdict

Leading the ultra-luxury market is the Raffles Boston, which provides a new modern option in the city. Hopefully, I can get a chance to stay here one day!
