Review: Marriott Executive Apartments Canary Wharf London

The Flight Detective

The Marriott Executive Apartments at Canary Wharf in London are located in the Marriott Canary Wharf building. This opened back in 2004 and I think it’s safe to say that the rooms could probably use some updating.

I’ve stayed at this hotel several times over the years, but never in one of the Executive Apartments. Thanks to an excellent deal, I broke up a recent trip to have one night in a standard room and the other in an apartment.

Marriott Executive Apartments

When checking in, you need to specify that you are booked in the Marriott Executive Apartments. While the check-in desk is shared with the hotel, it seems the systems differ. Once done, you’re off to the lift to head to the upper floors where these are located.

Since these are designed for long stays, they feature a separate bedroom, living room, bathroom and a kitchen. There is far more space than a standard hotel room, which is kinda the point.

Each room has windows overlooking the local area and I found it all to be clean and comfortable. In the kitchen was everything you could need, including details such as a tea towel.

While pleasant, as mentioned before, it did seem a little dated. Considering the prices that are usually charged for these rooms, you would think a refresh would be top of the list of things to do so.

Overall Thoughts

The Marriott Executive Apartments at Canary Wharf are quite fine. If you needed to stay close to your office on a visit to the city, you could do a lot worse than here.

Even so, had it not been a fantastic deal, I would not have stayed here. The regular prices are far more than I am prepared to pay for an overnight stay, but then again I suppose I am not really the target market!

Have you stayed at the Marriott Executive Apartments at Canary Wharf before? Or maybe in some in another location? What do you think? Thank you for reading and if you have any comments or questions, please leave them below.
