When it comes to the big hotel chains, Hilton often gets a bad rap compared to its peers. They often do unannounced devaluations of certain popular properties and have nixed their award chart way before some of their peers. However, Hilton Honors still offers a ton of different options to earn points at a fairly brisk clip. American Express is currently offering limited time welcome bonuses on their co-branded cards with Hilton. These offers are sending soon on August 13, 2025.

The Hilton Surpass card is a fantastic mid tier card as it grants you automatic Gold elite status. Moreover, you can also earn a free night certificate when you spend $15,000 in a single year. Usually, the card charges an annual fee of $150.

However, with this limited time offer, you’ll pay no annual fee for the first year. You’ll also earn 130,000 bonus points after you spend $3,000 in the first 6 months of card membership.

Hilton Aspire Card

The Hilton Aspire is a fantastic card for people who frequently stayed at Hilton properties. Just recently, I wrote about why I think that this card is largely underrated. It carries an annual fee of $550, but grants you complimentary top tier Diamond status, in addition to $600 in credit and a free night certificate each year.

At the moment, the Hilton Aspire card is offering a welcome bonus of 175,000 points. You’ll earn the bonus once you spend $6,000 in the first 6 months of card membership. Moreover, you’ll earn a free night certificate upon approval and then another when you renew the card each year and pay the annual fee.

The Hilton Business card is currently offering a welcome bonus of 175,000 points. This offer is structured as follows:

  • You’ll earn 150,000 points after you spend $8,000 in the first 6 months of card membership
  • You’ll earn an additional 25,000 points after you spend an extra $2,000 in the first 6 months of card membership

This card charges an annual fee of $195 but offers quarterly credits to offset the fee, in addition to granting complimentary Hilton Honors status to cardholders. Also, you can earn a flat 5x Hilton Honors spend on all purchases up to $100,000 each year.

The Pundit’s Mantra

Overall, these welcome bonus offers are fantastic if you’re looking to book stays in the Hilton portfolio in the coming months. While I love the Hilton Aspire card, it may not be for everyone. The no annual fee Hilton Honors card is a great card to get yourself started with Hilton, while the middle tier Hilton Surpass card is great if you book stays with Hilton a few times each year.

Bear in mind, these offers are ending soon on August 13, 2025.
