Earlier this week, I wrote about some of the amazing welcome bonuses on co-branded Marriott credit cards by Amex. American Express is now offering limited time welcome bonuses on the co-branded credit cards with Hilton as well. Compared to the expiration date on the Marriott card offers (which expire next month), these Hilton offers are valid until January 8, 2025!
Hilton Credit Card offers
American Express offers four cards as part of their portfolio with Hilton:
Consumer Credit Cards
- No Annual Fee Hilton Honors Card
- Hilton Surpass Card
- Hilton Aspire Card
Business Credit Card
- Hilton Business Card
Hilton Aspire Card
With the Hilton Aspire card, you’ll earn a welcome bonus of 175,000 Hilton Honors points and 1 free night certificate. You’ll earn the welcome bonus after you spend $6,000 in the first 6 months of card membership. Moreover, you’ll earn another free night certificate each year once you renew the card and pay the annual fee.
While the annual fee of $550 may sound steep, the card is packed with benefits and credits. You can earn well upwards of $600 in credits each year, in addition to the free night certificate you earn for simply renewing the card.

Hilton Honors Card
With this offer, you’ll earn a welcome bonus of 100,000 Hilton Honors points after you spend $2,000 in the first 6 months of card membership. Here’s why the offer is great for people just looking to dip their toes with Hilton.
Firstly, this card charges no annual fees. Secondly, you only need to spend $2,000 in 6 months, which is pretty easy for most people.
Hilton has the Hilton Honors points explorer which helps you to look up properties in a certain range of points for redemption. For example, I looked up examples for stays in Vietnam and found multiple options. For any property that charges up to 25,000 Hilton points per night, you can book a 5 night stay by leveraging this welcome bonus as the 5th night is free while booking with Hilton points.

Hilton Surpass Card
This one is by far my favorite offer out of the lot for personal cards. With this offer on the Hilton Surpass card, you’ll earn a welcome bonus of 165,000 Hilton Honors points after you spend $3,000 in the first 6 months.
In addition to complimentary Gold status and amazing return on everyday spend, the welcome bonus really takes the cake. After you meet minimum spend, you’ll end up with a minimum of 174,000 Hilton Honors points. Here’s how you can use this bonus.
- 1 free night at the Conrad Maldives (120,000 points per night) or the Hilton Amingiri Maldives
- 3 free nights at Hilton properties charging 58,000 points per night
- 5 free nights at Hilton properties charging 34,000 points per night

Hilton Business Card
If you qualify for the Hilton Business card, then this card is currently offering a welcome bonus of 175,000 Hilton Honors points after you spend $8,000 in the first 6 months of card membership. After you meet minimum spend, you’ll end up with a minimum of 199,000 Hilton Honors points.

The Pundit’s Mantra
These welcome bonuses on Hilton credit cards are fantastic if you’re looking to rack up some Hilton points. If you’re looking to book stays at high end Hilton properties, then I’d recommend the Hilton Aspire card. It’s a card that I’ve carried in my wallet ever since it was launched and has more than paid for the annual fee each year.
If you’re looking to avoid annual fees completely, then the no annual fee Hilton credit card is a good option. The middle tier Hilton Surpass card is great if you do a few trips each year and want to use the credits and points during your stay at Hilton properties.

If only they had an option for Canadians…
It doesn’t look to me like the no annual fee card includes a free night like this article says. The Aspire always includes a free night.
Thanks for pointing out, that was by error. Updated it.
