Hilton Aspire card adds monthly $20 dining credit & 2x bonus points offer (max 100k points)

deal

Last week, I wrote about Amex’s most recent earnings call and how Amex could come up with new benefits and bonuses this year in order to entice its existing customers to keep their products in 2021. It seems like we’re seeing that materialize now. American Express has now launched new bonus points offers and credits in addition to the amazing limited time welcome bonuses we saw last week on the co-branded Hilton cards. I was able to see these offers under the Amex Offers section on my Hilton Aspire Card.

Hilton Aspire Card – New Amex Offers

On my card account, I saw two offers.

  • You can earn a $20 credit on all dining, delivery and takeout purchases at US restaurants each month in 2021. You’ll get a maximum credit of $20 per month. This offer is valid until December 31, 2021.
  • You can earn 2x bonus Hilton Honors points for every $5,000 you spend from today until June 30, 2021. You will earn 10,000 bonus Hilton Honors points each time you spend $5,000. If you max out the promotion, then you’ll earn a total of 100,000 bonus Hilton Honors points for a total spend of $50,000.

The Pundit’s Mantra

These offers show up under Amex Offers. Therefore, you’ll need to add these offers to your account before you start your spend. I won’t be surprised if Amex is rolling out similar benefits on some of their other co-branded Marriott and Delta cards as well.

Overall, I think that the dining credit is a fantastic credit for monthly spend. While I may not max out the second offer with $50k spend on the Aspire, I’m sure it may be of great value for people who spend heavily on their Hilton Aspire cards.
