Finally – Delta eGift Certificates

If you are wondering what to buy MJ for his birthday or for Christmas, wonder no more. Delta has introduced eGift certificates available in amounts from $50 to $1,000 dollars in $5 dollar increments. According to Delta, “offering eGift Certificates is Delta’s latest technology innovation. Delta completed the first phase of more than $140 million in digital customer investments earlier this year including an updated delta.com, self-service kiosks and the introduction of the Fly Delta app for iPad as well as updated iPhone app.” Not sure why it took so long, but I’m glad I can add these to my holiday wish list. 😉

  1. There’s also the matter of the AmEx Platinum $200 airline reimbursement that i’d sure like to use these babies for. Anyone familiar if this is reimbursed?

    1. I tried to buy one this morning on my Amex Platinum. Of course, Delta.com is being balky. I will try again later, and report back if I get reimbursed for the purchase.

  2. There’s not only MQD , there is AmEx Premier Rewards Gold card which pays 3x for airfare.

    1. @Matt,

I’m assuming you mean does it count toward the upcoming Medallion Qualification Dollars (MQD) requirements? If so, I doubt it unless you subsequently spend those eGift cards on airfare, but I don’t know for certain.
