The original safety dance is gold. This is next level. What a way to being their membership with Oneworld. It’s so cool so many other airlines willingly participated!

Why I Am Not Getting a Vaccine At This Time – The Gate

This post by Brian sums up most of my own feelings on COVID-19 vaccination (and influenza vaccination). I don’t plan to get it. But in my case it’s likely a permanent persuasion unless the mounting evidence of serious side effects changes for the better.

COMLUX B787 MAKES RECORD 20 HOUR NON-STOP FLIGHT – Sam Chui

This is a cool achievement for a Boeing 787. I wonder if there will ever be scheduled nonstop commercial flights between Asia and South America.

  1. Wow! You’re an idiot! I’m glad you’re “waiting 2-3 years” to travel, I wish ALL unvaccinated people would follow this. The levels of selfishness and stupidity are breathtaking. I’m following Rob and ceasing to read this.

    1. I should clarify: I’m waiting 2-3 years to see how the effects of the vaccine play out before I decide whether I will get it. Never before has a vaccine been this rushed. I’m still planning to travel some, but obviously not to places that require proof of vaccination.

  2. AstraZeneca aside, there is no “mounting evidence” of dangerous side effects from the current Covid-19 vaccines, and AZ is not even authorized for use here. I am curious though – if countries begin to require proof of vaccination in order to enter (some, like Iceland, seem to have done so unless you have proof of having been infected within a certain window of your travel), will you be revising your stance and getting the vaccine?

    1. Extremely unlikely. I’ll wait at least 2-3 years, and this is still a requirement, I’d reconsider the decision. My hope is that they will also allow antibody tests, as I’d honestly rather be infected and recover from COVID-19.

      1. Wow! This statement and the blog link above makes it easy to stop following this entire feed. Why would anyone take advice from these blogs if this is the selfish position you take against public health?

        Good riddance.
