Alaska Airlines To Reopen Most Alaska Lounges On August 1st – Travel Codex

With travel rebounding a bit this summer, there has to be an uptick in demand for airport lounges. Most carriers closed some, if not all, of their locations. Alaska is planning to open theirs again on August 1st at multiple locations, but with more limited food and beverage and other precautions in place.

American Airlines Warns of 25,000 Job Cuts – Miles to Memories

Figures that the airlines would be looking to cut their workforce, even after getting a government bailout. They are prevented from cutting staff or pay rates until after September 30. After that, it looks like they may let go of nearly 30% of their workforce.

I was *super* excited when I fell below 5/24. My immediate sights were on a couple Chase business cards, one of these being the Ink Preferred. But this was pre-pandemic. Now with banks being way tighter on business approvals and the lack of excellent offers, I get where Nancy is coming from.
