Mostly downside. About the only plus is the change to the annual companion certificates.
Some of the other changes are terrible. Delta cards starting to turn into coupon books, a la the Amex Gold and Platinum.

Some redemptions are objectively better than others. But don’t let groupthink influence how you *must* use your points.
