WASHINGTON D.C. – It’s not every day that I get a veritable bouquet of flowers in my lunch, so I wanted to share photos and Instagram pics from my colorful and delicious meal the other day at Fiola Mare. This is the first of two Foodie Fridays today!

If you don’t know Fiola Mare, you should. It’s the brainchild of chef Fabio Trabocchi and the sister restaurant of Fiola, one of my personal faves in Washington for when you want to go all out. The James Beard Award-winning chef previously ran restaurants at Ritz-Carlton Tysons Corner and the Four Seasons New York.

As the name suggests, Fiola Mare focuses on serving up fresh fish and it’s less expensive than Fiola’s – but certainly not cheap. The food coupled with helpful service served as an inspiring backdrop for our business lunch. (Shout-out to our waiter for picking the perfect Italian chardonnay for me!)
