Review: Egyptair Gienah lounge at Cairo Airport Terminal 3

The Flight Detective
An unknown error occurred.

The Egyptair Gienah lounge at Cairo Airport is located near the G gates in the terminal. I used the facility prior to my flight to Addis Ababa on Ethiopian Airlines.

After spending some time at the other lounge, I headed over to this lounge. This was closer to gate G2 where my flight was departing from, and in the early hours of the morning it was fairly busy.

Gienah lounge food and drink

When I arrived, I took a seat and then scoped out the food situation. There was quite a good spread on offer, as you can see from the pictures below. The little filled desserts were quite delicious.

All in all I was quite pleased with the spread on offer. There seemed to be plenty of options, but some did not appeal and I will say some looked like they had been there quite some time. Since it was well after midnight, that perhaps isn’t too surprising.

Coffee Service

When I sat down, a friendly staff member offered to get me a coffee and I accepted. I’m pleased to report that it was really very good, and I would certainly have it again. He also proactively brought me a water with it.

While I waited I scoffed some desserts and relaxed, and eventually it was time to head off to my gate. There wasn’t much else to report about the lounge, though I did find the round windows aka large portholes to be interesting.

Overall Thoughts

Egyptair’s Gineah lounge in Cairo is functional, with an array of food options. There are plenty of seats in separate areas but really it’s best if you check out another review to see it. There were a lot of people there, which meant I couldn’t really take more pictures.

What do you think of this lounge? Have you visited before? Thank you for reading and if you have any comments or questions, please leave them below.
