The Marriott Bevy card is Amex’s middle tier card ideal for people who stay a few times each year at Marriott properties and like to put some spend on the card. Amex is currently offering limited time welcome bonuses on all of their co-branded Marriott credit cards. With this welcome bonus on the Marriott Bonvoy Bevy Card, you can earn 155,000 Marriott Bonvoy points after meeting minimum spend.

MARRIOTT BONVOY BEVY CARD

Firstly, you’ll need to read this post in order to check if you qualify for the card. If you do and are approved by Amex for the card, then you’ll earn 155,000 Marriott Bonvoy points after you spend $5,000 in the first 6 months of card membership.

The Marriott Bonvoy Bevy is Marriott’s middle tier card for Marriott loyalists. The card charges an annual fee of $250 but it loaded with benefits which are useful if you stay a few nights at Marriott properties each year.

EARNING POINTS

This card offers a decent return on purchases, if you book stays with Marriott and use it to spend on everyday purchases like dining and grocery. The card offers a simple points earning structure:

  • 6x points for each dollar you spend with hotels in the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio
  • 4x points for each dollar you spend at restaurants worldwide (including takeout and delivery only in the US)
  • 4x points for each dollar you spend at supermarkets in the US
  • 2x points for each dollar you spend on all other purchases

An important thing to note here is that the 4x category on dining and grocery is capped at $15,000 per calendar year. In essence, you can earn a maximum of 60,000 Marriott Bonvoy points each calendar year if you max out the category.

In addition to earning points in bonus categories, you’ll also enjoy the following benefits and elite status, complimentary with the card:

  • You’ll earn 1,000 Marriott Bonvoy points for each eligible paid stay with hotels in the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio
  • 15 elite nights each calendar year to help you get closer to Marriott Platinum elite status
  • No foreign transaction fees

Moreover, you’ll earn one free night certificate after you spend $15,000 in a calendar year. Marriott Bonvoy caps this certificate at a maximum of 50,000 points per night. However, you can top up to 15,000 points per night. In essence, you can book any property that charges up to 65,000 Marriott Bonvoy points while using this free night certificate.

OTHER BENEFITS

You’ll also enjoy the following benefits, in addition to all the perks you’ll enjoy with your card:

  • Trip delay and baggage insurance
  • Car rental and loss damage insurance
  • Purchase protection and extended warranty

While these benefits may not seem great on the surface, they can go a long way in helping you save hundreds of dollars when things so south. In my experience, I’ve found the claims process to be pretty seamless when things have gone wrong.
