One of the handful of things I miss about living in Washington, DC, is the availability of relatively frequent (and sometimes reliable) train service. Multiple trains per day headed north to NYC and beyond with reasonable service to the near south from DC as well. On the other hand, Atlanta sees approximately one train per day headed north, and another heading south at the worst possible times. Needless to say, I haven’t spent much (any) time on Amtrak since leaving DC. Apparently, Amtrak missed me.
While the promotion does appear to be targeted, it might be worth your time to check your Guest Rewards account or your email spam filter to see if you were targeted too. Especially, if its been a bit since you used Amtrak. I registered as it is entirely possible I could find myself needing to travel around the northeast, and Amtrak can be the best way to do so.
Sorry, Kodoma. I thought it was worth mentioning. One never knows what drives targeting.
Well, I read this as I was on the NE regional, so I guess I should not be surprised that I didn’t get that email. Bummer….
