Turkish Airlines are currently offering cheap business class tickets from Europe to Australia. This is not some random ticket from a backwater to an obscure city, but genuinely useful flights between major cities.
Deals to Australia have been few and far between over the past few years. Prices have been high matching extremely high demand, so things must be calming down somewhat to see reasonable prices returning.
Flight Choices
While noodling around Google flights, I noticed you can slice and dice things quite a bit. Cities originating in Europe include Dublin (which never gets cheap business class going east), Helsinki, Rome, Sofia, Oslo, Milan and Copenhagen among others. The dates you’re looking for start around the middle of January 2026 and run through to the end of March.
The Fun Bit – Prices!
I consider anything with a two in front of it to be a price point I’ll pay for business class from Europe to Australia. In this instance Sofia to Adelaide is cheapest, coming in at €2,331 return. Oslo to Adelaide is €2,492. Dublin to Adelaide is a very competitive €2,931 return. For Dublin, the next cheapest is Cathay Pacific and SWISS at €4,859, and with Emirates, Qantas and Qatar Airways over €6,300!
Cheap business class doesn’t mean bad!
Earlier this year I visited Australia and flew Malaysia Airlines from Kuala Lumpur to Sydney. Their business class is outstanding and I found it even better with their new seats on the return on the new Airbus A330-900neo.
Overall Thoughts
All of these cheap business class flights are available right now. I did all my searching on Google Flights, then at the end when going to book, you can choose where to book and happily the Turkish Airlines website is an option. That means you book directly with the airline, the only way to fly in my book.
Needless to say, I spent a good amount of time trying to decided on the cheapest option. Would I take Ryanair to Sofia or do an open jaw back to Dublin? How about originating in Oslo? In the end I elected for the open jaw, outbound to Brisbane and back from Adelaide.
It’s simple enough to get the quick one hour flight from Brisbane to Sydney and Adelaide is a shade under two hours, so no big deal. All booked and ticketed for me, so these are live fares and are available now. I have no idea how much longer they will be there, but I would act fast if I were you. Also, mosey on over to Luxury Flight Club – much of this came from one of their e-mails. Worth the subscription!
What do you think of these cheap business class fares? Have you flown Turkish Airlines or Malaysia Airlines before? What are they like? Thank you for reading and if you have any comments or questions, please leave them below.

We flew with Turkish Airlines Jan this year LGW-IST-KUL-ADL, as mentioned in your article all brand new aircraft, service was exceptional in Business Class.
Would definitely recommend both Turkish and Malaysian, every flight on time and with 78kgs of baggage for our Daughter’s wedding that had been held in the UK would certainly book again. (We do use a great agent, Amy, Best Business Class Fares) Staff so very friendly, amazing flights and I have worked in aviation for all my life, so many to compare with. Also remember the Passenger Air Tax on long haul out of the UK is very high now.
Thanks for that, I’m very much looking forward to it – appreciate the first hand account!
Why splurge for business and then be inconvenienced by let alone two stops along teh way at the worst possible times. First when going to bed and then a few hours later. This is what cracks me up about bloggers and business class. Just there to take selfies. I’d rather be in economy with a single stop along the way near either the Origin (western Europe) or the Destination (SE Asia).
Plus you probably know very well why it prices like that exclusively on the Multi City. If you don;t, then maybe you are not a travel blogger ahah.
The prices come up perfectly fine as a return – eg: Oslo to Adelaide, Dublin to Adelaide, Sofia to Adelaide, Rome to Perth and so on. Multi-city only comes into it if you want to fly to Brisbane, which is why I used that example from Dublin to Brisbane and then Adelaide to Dublin.
I’d rather have no stops at all, as would anyone. However, to save thousands of Euro I am more than happy to have a couple of stops along the way and to fly in comfort on a long journey.
I think you might want to look at Ryanair’s social media – plenty of people flying economy take selfies as well. Thanks for the comment!
