Over the years, I’ve written extensively about why I love collecting transferable points currencies. They act as a hedge against the devaluation of a particular airline or hotel points currency and always give you the flexibility to transfer points depending on when you want to travel. Amex Membership Rewards points and Chase Ultimate Rewards points are two of my favorite transferable points currencies. Chase Ultimate Rewards points is now back with a transfer bonus to start off the new month.
Chase Ultimate Rewards points: Transfer to Virgin Atlantic with a 30% bonus
The standard transfer ratio for transferring Chase Ultimate Rewards to Virgin Atlantic flying club is 1:1. For every 1,000 Chase points you transfer, you earn 1,000 Virgin points. With this limited time offer, you can transfer points at a 1:1.3 ratio. For every 1,000 Chase points you transfer, you’ll earn 1,300 Virgin points. This limited time offer ends on February 17, 2025.

Overall, this is a fantastic transfer bonus if you’re looking to travel with Virgin Atlantic or one of their codeshare partners in the near future.
However, I’d advise against speculatively transferring points, unless you have specific travel plans. Airlines and Hotels can often devalue currencies at short notice. Therefore, it’s often prudent to leverage these bonuses when you have travel coming up in the near future.
