Just yesterday, I wrote about the impending changes to the Chase Sapphire Reserve. The card’s annual fee is about to increase and new benefits are about to be added. While all the advertising says that it will go live in Summer 2025, we don’t know an exact date yet about when the card will be refreshed. You can read all the details in this post.

Chase Sapphire: Redeem Ultimate Rewards points for up to 2.2 cents per point

As per DDG, Chase is targeting users with promos to use their points at a much higher rate than usual. These targeted offers are for using Chase Ultimate Rewards points via the Chase Travel portal.

Bear in mind that these are targeted offers and should ideally show up when you’re making a booking. I haven’t been targeted, but it doesn’t hurt to log in and check.

Offer Details

This offer is valid for bookings made before June 15, 2025. However, the offer is valid for travel dates until the end of next year, Dec 31, 2026.

  • When you’re usually making a booking via Chase Travel, you enjoy 1.25 cents per point in redemption value if you have the Chase Sapphire Preferred. With this targeted offer, you’ll enjoy a redemption value of 2 cents per point! That’s a massive 60% bonus.
  • When you’re usually making a booking via Chase Travel, you enjoy 1.55 cents per point in redemption value if you have the Chase Sapphire Reserve. With this targeted offer, you’ll enjoy a redemption value of 2.2 cents per point! That’s a 47% bonus.

The Pundit’s Mantra

Overall, these promotions are fantastic if you have a chunk of Chase Ultimate Rewards points and are planning to book a trip. What’s great about this promotion is the fact that it’s valid for bookings until the end of next year, that gives you a lot of time. Unfortunately, I haven’t been targeted.

Transferable points currencies offer a great deal of flexibility and act as a hedge against a potential devaluation in one particular loyalty program. It’s always great to have different options on the table while looking to book travel. I love my Chase Ultimate Rewards points. Some of my favorite points redemptions over the years have been while booking some memorable hotel stays after transferring Chase points to World of Hyatt at a 1:1 ratio.

Have you been targeted for this promotion? If yes, how do you plan to use it? Tell us in the comments section.
