Good news in this morning’s email. The latest American Express Centurion lounge location is now open at New York’s LaGuardia airport. While I’ve only enjoyed the excellent lounge at Las Vegas, I am excited to see American Express expanding its network. The lounge is located in terminal B, pre-security, on the 3rd level, and is open from 6:00am until 8:00pm.
Access to the lounges is complimentary for Amex Platinum and Centurion Cardmembers, day passes are available for those that carry other Amex cards for $50. While I probably shouldn’t make judgements based on my sample size of one lounge, I think I’m pretty secure in calling the Centurion Lounges the best domestic US airport lounges. I’m very excited about plans for a lounge in Miami. One can only hope that Atlanta might work its way into the lounge mix at some point. Another hope – that our airlines begin looking to these lounges as a model for service and amenities, particularly food. A guy can dream, right? Have you visited a Centurion Lounge? What did you think?

I’ve only enjoyed the Centurion Lounge at DFW. I hope I can find the lounge at LaGuardia since the rest of the airport lacks civil public spaces (is a hell hole).
I’m definitely not a fan of LaGuardia either. I’m flying into LGA on Saturday, and out of JFK. I hope I can make the time to drop by the new lounge.
No reservations in saying both the clubs in Las Vegas and in Dallas are the best US based clubs. While “The Club at San Jose” has a great staff and the Delta Skyclub at JFK has it’s amazing outside space, the bar, food, spa treatments and everything is amazing at the two originals.
@Peter,
I agree. Great lounges. I wish the airlines would take a few notes.
