Figuring out the complexities of the co-branded Marriott credit card system can be quite a task. However, at the moment, one of my favorite co-branded Marriott credit cards is now out with its best ever welcome bonus. With this welcome bonus on the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless credit card, you’ll not only earn five free night certificates, but also earn an extra $100 in statement credits. So, how does the card stack up? Let’s have a look.
Marriott Bonvoy Boundless Card
For a card that charges an annual fee of just $95, this limited time welcome bonus is incredible. With this welcome bonus, you’ll earn 5 free night certificates. You’ll earn the free night certificates once you spend just $3,000 in the first 3 months of card membership.
Marriott Bonvoy caps free night certificates based on the number of points required to redeem them per night. In this case, each free night certificate is capped at 50,000 points. However, Marriott lets you top up an additional 15,000 points per night when you redeem a free night certificate. In effect, you can redeem these certificates at properties that charge up to 65,000 Marriott Bonvoy points per night.
There’s More!
To sweeten the deal even further, Chase has added a $100 flight discount. You’ll earn the discount in 2026 semi-annually. This means that you will earn:
- $50 as a statement credit on flights purchased with airlines directly between January 1 and Jun 30, 2026 for a purchase to the tune of $250 or more
- Another $50 as a statement credit on flights purchased with airlines directly between July 1 and Dec 31, 2026 for a purchase to the tune of $250 or more
A $50 statement credit will be automatically applied to your account when you spend $250 or more on eligible purchases made directly with airlines from January 1 through June 30, 2026. A second $50 statement credit will be automatically applied to your account when you spend another $250 or more on eligible purchases made directly with airlines from July 1 through December 31, 2026, for a total maximum accumulation of $100 in statement credits through 12/31/2026.

Renewal Benefit
Moreover, you’ll also earn 1 free night certificate each year once you renew the card and pay the annual fee. That certificate is capped at 35,000 points per night. In essence, you can top up and redeem the certificate at properties that charge up to 50,000 points per night.
So how does the card stack up? Here’s a full review.
Earning Points
The card offers a solid value proposition to help you rack up Marriott Bonvoy points at a fast clip.
- 17 points for each dollar you spend at properties in the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio
- 3 points for each dollar you spend on gas stations, grocery stores and dining (capped out at $6,000 spend per year (combined)
- 2 points per each dollar spent on all other purchases
In essence, if you max out the gas stations, grocery stores and dining category, you can earn an additional 18,000 Marriott Bonvoy points each year.
Elite Status
In addition to earning Marriott Bonvoy points on everyday purchases, you can also upgrade your status by putting more spend on the card.
- Complimentary Silver Elite status for simply keeping the card account active. When you spend $35,000 in a calendar year, you’ll automatically be upgraded to Gold Elite status.
- For every $5,000 you spend on the card, you’ll earn 1 elite night credit.
Let’s say you’re falling short by a few nights but don’t plan to stay at Marriott properties. You can meet the elite night requirement by putting more spend on the card.
Additional Benefits

In addition to the ability to earn points and the complimentary free night certificate, you’ll also enjoy the following benefits:
- No foreign transaction fees
- Complimentary premium in-room Wi-Fi

The Pundit’s Mantra
Overall, the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless card is a fantastic option if you want to earn Marriott Bonvoy points on everyday spend. Also, it can be a great option to get closer to elite status if you plan to put a lot of spend on the card.
With an annual fee of $95, it’s easy to extract value with the welcome bonus of 5 free night certificates and a $100 statement credit, coupled with the free night certificate that you receive in subsequent years for renewing the card. I first picked up this card in 2020 and have kept it open ever since. The yearly free night certificate makes it very easy for me to justify paying the $95 annual fee each year.
At the moment, the Marriott Bonvoy Business Card is also offering an elevated welcome bonus offer. You can read all the details here.
