Background & Location
I had one night at the end of my trip in Fort Lauderdale, and the Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach had always been on my mind since it opened in 2017. My free night certificate from my Hilton Aspire Card was going to expire in a couple of months, so I thought it would be a good time to use it as rates for the holiday season were over $700 a night.
This was my first Conrad stay in the United States, and my third Conrad stay overall, with the first two being the Conrad Tokyo, and the Conrad Seoul. A cool aspect about booking with Hilton Honors points currently, is that multiple room types are considered “standard awards” and start at 95,000 Hilton Points a night. So for the same points price, you could get up to a one-bedroom suite, versus the lead in category of a Studio. So, I booked a One Bedroom Suite-Partial Ocean View, as that was the highest category that still was a standard award price at 95,000 points.
The Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach features 290 condo-hotel units and is located on the exclusive North Beach of Fort Lauderdale. The Four Seasons is right next door, and other luxury hotels are down the block. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is 8 miles away, and Port Everglades for the cruise ships is about 6 miles away, making it quite a convenient hotel.

Takeoff Points
Date of Stay: January 2025
Room Type: One Bedroom Suite- Partial Ocean View
Pros: Great beachfront location, good service, and large suites.
Cons: The furnishings and hardware could use some TLC. A soft renovation would be helpful.
Check-In
We arrived pretty early in the morning around 10 am, and were helped by a friendly associate. I was very happy that she found a room for us to check in too in our booked category, so we could get situated, and then head down the the beach for a bit.
Service continued to be good throughout the stay, and the text function always had an attentive associate respond quite quickly.
As I am a Hilton Diamond Member, I also got a nightly $50 Food & Beverage Credit (which I used for dinner).
Heading to the elevators, we passed the Conrad Boutique, which had some jewelry and beach items.
One Bedroom Suite- Partial Ocean View
Our suite was located on the 8th floor. I loved how spacious the suite was at 750 square feet. So nice to have extra space and an extra half bath!
As you enter the room, there is a galley-style kitchen. That is a full kitchen, essentially but shaped like a kitchenette. There is a mini Sub Zero fridge with no freezer function, but it has mini bar refreshments on one side, and the rest of the fridge you can use for your personal use.
On the countertop, there is a Lavazza coffee maker as well as coffee pods, and Tea Leaves branded tea sachets. Also, there are minibar items for purchase, featuring spirits, wine, snacks, and candies.
Kitchen
The kitchen comes with wine glasses, disposable coffee, cups, mugs, and some plates. Utensils are also included. You can request pots, pans, flatware, and extra plates through housekeeping. There is a microwave as well as a Wolf stove top with two burners.
Additionally, there is a hot water maker, a toaster, paper, towel towels, a small bottle of dish soap, and a sponge. Unfortunately, the hot water maker had seen better days as the cover was missing a piece & excess calcium deposits and should be replaced.
Passing the kitchen is a half bath, located to the right of the room. I love having a half bath when sharing with a family!
Living Room
Then, as you enter the living room, there is a sofa that turns into a sofa, bed table, and ottoman. There is also a desk with charging ports.
I slept on the sofabed, and it was comfortable, though I wish the sheets provided were thicker. Again, with maintenance as a topic, the sheets were also ripped.
Bedroom
Passing the living room it leads into the bedroom, which has a king-size bed. There is a JBL speaker on one nightstand there are charging ports on both sides of the bed. Next to the TV is a closet that offers an iron/board, slippers, shoe polish, hangers, a shoe brush, and laundry bags. A robe was featured in the closet as well as in the bathroom.
Interestingly, there is a tiny, almost unusable balcony located off the bedroom. The sliding door definitely needs some WD-40, and there are no chairs on the balcony. You could kind of see the partial ocean view in the distance.
Primary Bathroom
As you enter the primary bathroom, there is a large standup shower with Byredo products fin the Mojave Ghost scent with conditioner, shampoo, and body wash. There is a single vanity that also features body lotion, shower, cap, cleansing mouthwash, and one amenity kit that comes with cotton swabs, a nail filer, and Q-tips. To the right, is a large standup shower, and the water pressure was great.
To the left, is the water closet and tub. It’s a very large soaking tub and bath salts were provided. I was a bit confused as to why this section wasn’t closed off as it makes it more of a one-person bathroom. I would’ve appreciated a different layout perhaps for the separate tub and toilet.
On an interesting note, Fort Lauderdale has a yellow tint in the water and the Conrad and make sure to put a sign (printed and on the TV) saying that there is no harm associated with this coloration. It is a direct result of the natural organic substance found in the region.
The hairdryer provided had seen better days as the paint was all chipped off. I had a much better hairdryer at the Hyatt Centric Las Olas Fort Lauderdale, just a few miles away, which featured a newer, Drybar hairdryer, which I like. And the Conrad Seoul had a Dyson Hairdryer…
Overall, for a hotel built in 2017, there is definitely some wear and tear. A refresh would help!
Dining
The main restaurant at Conrad Fort Lauderdale is Takato, which brings together Japanese & Korean fusion. It’s open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I visited for dinner, and had a really good meal! I was impressed and the restaurant was popping.
Other dining options include Vitolo, which is a family-owned restaurant featuring a taste of Italy. It’s open daily for dinner, and for lunch on the weekends. The Spinnaker Pool Grill is open daily, and then Spinnaker After Dark is open daily in the evenings.
Cornucopia is the grab-and-go market that also serves sandwiches and pastries.
And of course, there is in-suite dining 24 hours a day.
Daily Resort Fee Inclusions
The Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach has a $40 + tax resort fee that includes:
- 2 Beach Chairs and 1 Beach Umbrella
- 20% off Spa Services
- Two Bottles of Water in the Suite & on the Pool Deck
- Local and 800 Calls
- Morning Beach Yoga Class (7:30 AM)
- Two, 2-hour bicycle rentals
Beach
The beach is just across the street from the hotel, and there is beach service from 9 am to 5 pm. I felt like the inclusion of beach chairs in the resort fee made the fee more worth it. The beach attendants were friendly and quickly set up the towels at our preferred seating location. It was a little cold the day I was there, so I dipped my feet in the water but did not swim. The sand was great, and it was a nice beach visit before lunch.
Pool
The 6th floor contains all the recreation for the Conrad Fort Lauderdale and has the Pool, Fitness Center & Spa. The hotel calls the outdoor space the “Sky Deck” which is complete with a heated freshwater pool, jetted roman tub, sunbathing areas, cabanas, and a poolside restaurant and bar.
Pool towel service is provided daily from 9 am to 6 pm. I went for an afternoon swim, and the towel service was nice and got my chair set up for me and brought out water. Complimentary sunblock is also available.
Fitness Center and Spa
At the end of the 6th floor is the Fitness Center which is open 24 hours a day. It was a solid size, with plenty of equipment and 3 Peloton Bikes. I love it when a hotel has a Peloton, and utilized it during my stay. Though it was a bit odd that 2 of the 3 were broken. One had an error screen, and one had a broken adjustment knob so you couldn’t move the seat. But hey, at least one worked!
They had some fruits, headphones, and cold towels at the entrance as well.
The CONRAD Spa is also located right next to the fitness center and is open daily from 9 am to 6 pm.
The Verdict
Overall, I had an enjoyable one-night stay at the Conrad Fort Lauderdale. Highlights included beach access, a tasty meal at Takano, friendly service, and a large one-bedroom suite. However, the hotel could use a soft renovation as the hardware could be in better condition.

Nice review!
Is there anything guests can do in the Conrad Spa for free (steam room, sauna, etc.)? Or is it only for paid services?
