After a week in sunny Greece, it was time to return home from Skiathos to London City. Online, I had seen people point out that it was not worth getting to the airport early as there was nothing much past Passport control. They were correct!
The lines at check-in were not well marked and people were in incorrect queues. Anyway, it didn’t take long, then it was through Passport control into the heaving gate area. As it was high season, there was nowhere to sit, but at least it wasn’t hot.
Boarding Time
Eventually one of the gates besides us emptied out and they opened it up to relieve the pressure. Boarding consisted of walking out to a bus and waiting for it to fill, then it was a drive across the apron to our jet.

Flying From Skiathos to London City
As we reached the end of the runway to turn around, I could see lots of people waiting for us to go. Looks like a load of people were enjoying the plane spotting in Skiathos, like I had earlier in the week.
Overall Thoughts
It was a perfectly pleasant three or so hours flying from Greece to the UK. Everyone was in a good mood, since we had all been on holidays in the sun. As usual the crew were lovely and this time I had no complaints.
