Last week, I wrote about this unique glitch due to which some customers were seeing no annual fees listed on the card member agreements of their Amex Platinum card. I was seeing the same on my Charles Schwab Platinum card. However, I then found out that I was seeing that for all of my card member agreements on cards that carry an annual fee. The annual fee section showed ‘none’ for each one of them.
Amex Platinum Card Glitch Fixed
If you’re curious to know and didn’t read the earlier post, I’d encourage you to read this post first to see what the glitch exactly was all about. In the beginning, we saw a bunch of reports on Reddit. Later, it seemed like many people were seeing the issue. If you look at the comments in my post, you’ll also see that some new cardmembers who had recently been approved for even cards like the Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant Card were seeing the ‘none’ next to the annual fee column.
Updated Cardmember Agreements
If you look at the screenshots posted in my original blog post, those are all from May 15th. However, it seems like Amex has now updated all the CMAs (Card Member Agreements) correctly.

Here’s how you can also download your cardmember agreement:
- Log into your American Express account
- Select your card from the top right menu
- Click on the Account Services Tab on top
- Once the tab opens, click on ‘Request Cardmember Agreement’ on the bottom of your screen
The Pundit’s Mantra
Unlike what happened in 2021, this issue was primarily with card member agreements with existing or brand new customers. In 2021, we saw customers seeing no annual fee while upgrading to the Hilton Aspire card. However, in that instance, the no annual fee was showing up during application and was later honored by American Express.
