Later, I wrote about how Citi is making amends. However, as of now, it seems like a lot of customers are still affected, with their accounts shut down and their points taken out.

While I love my Chase Sapphire Preferred card, I may consider a product upgrade if the offer is good enough.
Hotel Horror: Scalding shower boils 72 yr old Veteran to death
In a tragic turn of events, a 72 year old veteran was effectively ‘boiled to death’ as per the lawsuit filed against the hotel. He checked into his hotel in San Jose, took a shower, only to have his skin peeled off due to unusually hot water temperature, eventually resulting in his demise.
