Last week, I wrote about the uncertain future of one of the benefits on the Amex Platinum Card. After its refresh last year, the Amex Platinum Card now offers a lot of different benefits and credits, split across different merchants and time frames. One such benefit is a brand new benefit that was recently added after the Fall 2025 refresh. So, the brand new Lululemon credit, how soon does it post in 2026? Let’s have a look.

Amex Platinum Card: Lululemon Credit Benefit

If you currently don’t have the Amex Platinum Card, then the card is currently offering a variable welcome bonus. With this welcome bonus, you can earn up to 175,000 American Express Membership Rewards points.

With the Lululemon credit benefit, cardmembers enjoy up to a maximum of $300 in credits during every calendar year. This benefit is split quarterly, with cardmembers eligible to receive up to a maximum of $75 during each quarter.

“Eligible purchases are purchases made directly with lululemon at lululemon stores in the U.S., online at U.S. website shop.lululemon.com or through the lululemon app (excluding lululemon Studio, Like New, outlet locations, warehouse, event locations, showroom and wholesale transactions). Not valid on purchases shipped outside the U.S. or gift card purchases. Purchases by both the enrolled Basic Card Member and Additional Card Members on the eligible Card Account are eligible for statement credits. However, statement credits will be provided for only up to $75 in statement credits each quarter for a total of up to $300 per calendar in statement credits per Card Account.”

As per the terms and conditions, the credit will only apply for purchases made on the Lululemon website or at one of their stores. This credit is only applicable for purchases made in the US. Before you make a purchase, you must enroll.

Timeline: From Purchasing to Getting the Credit

When I’m not buying something for myself, I use a lot of my shopping credits on various credit cards to gift something to someone. In this case, I was looking to gift something and found it on the Lululemonwebsite. After adding all the taxes and other charges, my total came to $73.27.

Here’s how the credit posted:

  • On February 8, 2026, I made the purchase on Lululemon.com

  • On February 10, 2026, the benefit slider moved, showing that the benefit had been used for the first quarter of 2026.

The Pundit’s Mantra

As per the terms and conditions, American Express says that it may take up to eight weeks for the credit to post to your account. However, it usually takes around three to four days.

While the statement in the screenshot shows that the credit also posted on February 8, in reality, it took four days to post. Overall, as a new benefit, it’s really easy to use and if you either buy or gift some merchandise for yourself or a loved one, then it’s a benefit that you can max out every quarter.
