American Airlines New Brandon Blackwood Amenity Kits to launch limited-edition versions of the designer bags for premium cabin passengers. American Airlines has partnered with acclaimed designer Brandon Blackwood to launch their next version of limited-edition amenity kits. Available from late June through early September 2025, these exclusive kits blend high fashion with functionality, offering travelers a stylish keepsake that extends beyond their flight. This collaboration reflects American’s commitment to enhancing the onboard experience through innovative design partnerships.
New Brandon Blackwood Amenity Kit Bags
Brandon Blackwood’s amenity kits are inspired by his signature handbag designs, tailored for in-flight use:
- Flagship® First and Flagship Suite® Preferred: A compact version of Blackwood’s iconic Portmore handbag, crafted in denim with a structured silhouette and wraparound zip closure.

- Flagship® Business and Flagship Suite®: A sleek black travel pouch accented with red zippers and featuring Blackwood’s distinctive checkered interior lining.

- Premium Economy: A blue-and-white checkered pouch showcasing Blackwood’s signature pattern on the exterior, designed as a fashionable accessory for travelers.

This initiative continues American Airlines’ tradition of collaborating with diverse designers to enhance the travel experience, following previous partnerships such as the Raven & Lily amenity kits supporting Stand Up To Cancer.
Conrado’s Thoughts
This new partnership is another step in the right direction for American. They have actually started making improvements in the passenger experience, even if they are incremental. With the new Flagship Suites, A321XLRs and improved onboard experience, I think American is finally righting ship. Only time will tell if this management remains committed. The current American Airlines management has been nickel and diming their way through while Delta and United have become decidedly more premium airlines. If, and a big if, American does place a new aircraft order and along with it announce a slew of (hopeful) improvements, we might see American become a true premium carrier once again.
