Starting today, AAdvantage Gold and Platinum members will be exempt from “close-in” award redemption fees! Additionally, Executive Platinum members, who were already exempt from the close-in fee, will now be exempt from reinstatement fees as well. This is great news for AAdvantage elite members, and eliminates the one fee that I hold in highest contempt. Yay!
