Late last year, American Express refreshed both personal and business versions of their Platinum Cards. While the annual fees have been significantly increased, the cards offer a lot of new benefits. I was able to find a new offer on the Business Platinum Card, offering a massive welcome bonus of 250,000 American Express Membership Rewards Points.

However, Amex’s standard restrictions do apply to this welcome bonus offer as well. American Express enforces a ‘once in a lifetime rule’ for many of their card products, which means that you cannot get the same welcome bonus for a card product one more time. However, every now and then, you may be targeted for the same welcome bonus again.

You also may not be eligible to receive a welcome offer based on various factors, such as your history with credit card balance transfers, your history as an American Express Card Member, the number of credit cards that you have opened and closed and other factors. How to Search for these offers
If these offers don’t show up right away after you click on and open the link, you can try a few things.
- Open the links in an incognito/private browser
- Clear cookies/browsing history and try again
- Use a VPN to try and see if the offers show up again
Bear in mind that Amex may target you for offers that may be even higher. You may be targeted via email or by simply seeing offers upon logging into your Amex account.

If you’re eligible, then this is a fantastic welcome bonus offer to get started with the card. Even if you factor in the annual fee of $895, you’ll get at least $2,500 in value from simply getting the welcome bonus after you meet the minimum spend. This will all be in addition to the value you may be getting from using all the credits and benefits that the card offers.
