After Marriott acquired Starwood, both Amex and Chase have shared the co-branded credit card portfolio. While this is great for us as we get more options to chase welcome bonuses, there’s a huge caveat. Both Amex and Chase have added restrictive language to their offers. This language is based on your past history with the card issuer and with current and previous versions of Marriott’s and Starwood’s co-branded cards. Not following these rules can result in denial or a refusal to award bonus points or free night certificates for an offer. At the moment, Chase is offering a fantastic limited time offer on the Chase Marriott Bonvoy Boundless card. However, we need to first dive deep and check if you qualify for this amazing offer.
Chase Marriott Bonvoy Boundless Card: Bonus Points & Statement Credit
With this welcome bonus offer on the Chase Marriott Bonvoy Boundless card, you’ll get a welcome bonus of 100,000 Marriott Bonvoy points. In addition, you can also earn a statement credit of $150.
You’ll earn the bonus points once you spend $3,000 in the first 3 months of card membership. You’ll earn the $150 statement credit when you simply make any eligible purchase in the first 12 months after you’re approved for the card.
For a card that charges $95 in annual fee, this is a fantastic return in the first year. Also, you’ll earn a free night certificate each year (capped at 35,000 points) for simply renewing the card. Moreover, Marriott lets you top up free night certificates up to a maximum of additional 15,000 points. Effectively, you can use the free night certificate to redeem at a property charging up to 50,000 Marriott Bonvoy points per night.
