My story on Fox News: Will robots invade hotels?

Avatar

If you’re curious about the role that cute little robots may – or may not – play in hotels, check out my story on Fox News Travel today: “Will the future of hotel robots be as shiny as R2-D2?”

The piece jumps off of Starwood’s recent news that generated global headlines that it’s testing a botler, or robotic butler. The test is taking place at its Aloft hotel in Cupertino, Calif. near Apple’s headquarters.

The story includes Steve Cousins, CEO of Savioke, the company that’s producing the robots and is basing its initial business strictly on the hospitality industry. Google is one of Savioke’s investors.

Readers: Would you mind having a robot deliver forgotten items such as toothbrushes or towels to your door?
