In the same week that Home Depot confirmed a breach of its payment systems that exposed the information of many as 60 million customers, a small hotel company in San Diego confirmed a cyber attack on hotel customer information, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.

Between 43,000 and 55,000 customers of a group of five San Diego hotels may have had their credit card information exposed, according to the report. The company in question – Bartell Hotels – said the breach affected five of its hotels: Best Western Plus Island Palms Hotel & Marina; The Dana on Mission Bay; Humphreys Half Moon Inn & Suites; Pacific Terrace Hotel, and the Days Hotel – Hotel Circle Credit.
