Review: American Express Centurion Card

The idea for Tuesday’s post came to me from a reader’s comment from Monday’s post.

The American Express Centurion Card is one of the most exclusive and secretive cards in the credit card world. Most people will never receive an invitation to get the elusive “Black Card” and that’s totally fine.

The Centurion Card is interesting because it has such a high annual fee, but its impractical to use for everyday spending. It has the same earning structure and sign-up bonus as the basic Amex Green Card. But what separates the Centurion Card from the rest is its perks. The Centurion Card has all of the Platinum Card’s perks and then some.


Reminder: Register for Discover It 4th Quarter Categories

Thursday, August 1 was the first day to register for the Discover It card’s 4th Quarter categories. Next quarter’s categories are, Target, and These three categories are fantastic for online shopping and holiday shopping.

People with families and lots of friends should have no problem hitting the $1,500 quarterly spend limit. Hitting that level of spend will net you $75 in cash back, which can be used towards anything you want.
