Background:

I’ve been lucky enough to stay at the Wynn Las Vegas a few times over the past year due to the Wynn Slots App game! Now, it’s a bit harder to get free rooms as you have to fork over $200 to be eligible in booking a complimentary room. Before, you didn’t have to pay at all, and to this day I’ve spent around $30 on the app. You could also get buffets from the app as well (before the COVID situation).

Disclaimer: I stayed at the property in January of this year before the COVID-19 situation worsened.

The Wynn Las Vegas Room:

I’ve stayed in both the Wynn King Resort Room and the Two Double Resort Room. Both rooms are 640 square feet and are quite roomy.

The King Resort Room, features a nice King Sized bed, as well as a cute sofa. Plenty of space to relax. The room features Alexa from Amazon, which you can talk to in controlling lights, drapes, music. I wish you could use Alexa to control the TV but unfortunately that function isn’t available yet. The bathroom features double sinks, and a separate shower and tub.

I truly love the light tones of the room as they make the room feel bright and clean.

The Two Double Resort Room features Two Double Beds, which are a bit tight to fit two people comfortably. The Encore Resort Two Queen Beds are roomier and more comfortable, which I have stayed in as well. Here’s my review on Encore. Encore features larger rooms (725 square feet versus 640 square feet at Wynn) in both their One King and Two Queen Rooms.

The only difference from the Wynn One King room versus the Wynn Two Doubles is that there is no sofa. The bathrooms are identical as well.

In terms of views, for the standard rooms at the Wynn, you can either be facing the Strip looking at the Palazzo and Treasure Island, or the golf course. The way Wynn allocates its standard rooms versus “Panoramic” view rooms is by floor number. Under floor 30 are the standard rooms. So, even without paying for a view room, you could still score a nice strip view.

Buffet at Wynn:

I had the pleasure to try the buffet during dinner claiming access with my app rewards. The crab legs were very tasty and I enjoy the steak and other hot dishes. The dessert section is great too. I’ve been to most of the buffets in Vegas (Bacchanal at Caesars, Wicked Spoon at Cosmopolitan, Buffet at Bellagio) and the Buffet at Wynn is one of the best.

Amenities + Location:

Since rooms booked through the app don’t tag on the resort fee (normally $45), I didn’t have access to the fitness center, but from what I hear it is quite nice! There are plenty of pools on the property grounds too.

Self and valet parking at both Wynn and Encore are complimentary.

The Wynn property grounds are quite spectacular. Very well kept up, and nice to walk around.

The Wynn is on the North end of the Las Vegas Strip connected by pedestrian bridge to the Palazzo/Venetian as well as the Fashion Show Mall. Some may not like the location as it is a bit further to the center strip, but I like the location as it’s easily accessible by car, and still walkable (or a quick Uber) to center strip.

The Verdict:

Overall, I’ve enjoyed my stays at the Wynn Las Vegas, and it is one of my favorite properties to stay in Vegas. Well-appointed rooms along with nice common areas make the Wynn a great Las Vegas resort.
