There are a few American Airlines Admirals Club lounges at Philadelphia airport. I visited the one in Terminal F, which is where the American Eagle flights leave from.

After getting the bus from Terminal A, I found the lounge up the stairs very close to where I was dropped off. Upon entry, the friendly lounge agent let me in, asking if there was anything she could check for me. All was well in my world, so I smilingly declined the offer.

Lounge Decor

If you been to an Admirals Club before, you’ll find the overall look and feel just like every other one. Thankfully a new design is gradually coming in, so perhaps one day this decor will be rare.

Tables are situated between some seats and this is where you can plug in and charge devices. There is also a bar with some bar seating, which always had some people people passing the time inside.

Terminal F Lounge Food

I was quite frankly surprised that there was free hot food on offer. Two soups (Chicken & Dumpling and Hearty Vegetable) as expected, but also Mandarin Sesame Chicken with Rice. You could also order and pay for food, as I saw someone with a burger a little later on.

Taste wise, the chicken and rice was nice, the vegetable soup passable and the sweets yummy. Something was wrong with something though, because someone had been sick in the bathroom (it looked like the vegetable soup at a glance) and I felt rather nauseous for my entire flight to Cleveland as well. Who knows though!

Overall Thoughts

It’s a little lounge in Philadelphia Terminal F, but what I liked is that it was not busy at all. That made for a lovely relaxing stay while I waited for my flight, something all lounges aspire to, but most fail at.
